Request #1

Cooking Dummy wants to thank You Figure It Out for submitting a request. Despite the different opinions expressed by Sweet Biscuit and David, she decided to give this a try.

On Sunday night at 9:45 pm, she forced herself to go grocery shopping at Dominion.

It was quite enjoyable until she had to find canned pineapples.
She found these signs to be extremely misleading.

She walked down aisle 8 at least 3 times. No canned pineapples.
They were hidden in aisle 7!

It took her more than ½ an hour to buy her ingredients. She definitely needs to start doing grocery shopping.

New challenge for baby cook Karina. Can she do it???

HOME - STYLE MACARONI & CHEESE
1 (7 oz.) elbow macaroni, uncooked
    1/4 c. butter
    3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
    2 c. milk
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. Country-Style Dijon mustard
    2 c. Cheddar cheese, cubed
    1 c. fresh bread crumbs
    2 tbsp. butter, melted
    2 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped

Heat oven to 400 degrees (200 degrees C). Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, in 3 quart saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter; stir in flour. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until smooth and bubbly (1 minute). Stir in milk, cream cheese, salt, pepper and mustard. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thickened (3 to 4 minutes). Stir in macaroni and cheese. Pour into 2 quart casserole. In small bowl, stir together remaining ingredients; sprinkle over macaroni and cheese. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and heated through.

The Real Kraft Dinner, who’s the special person you are dedicating this dish to?

Green Leaf, Dominion is conveniently located beside my building. I never understood why people would visit Dominion late at night. Now I’m doing it!

Stacy, cool signs? I just took my camera, pressed the button and took 2 pictures. Do you agree those signs are confusing?
